May you be filled with positive feelings and thoughts during these trying times. For me, I am grateful for the essential workers, the front line workers, the National Guard and the policemen who are keeping us safe. These are the people I know will never leave my life without providing aid whenever I can, even now.
May you restful sleep and rest well at night, and may you feel your mind and body are fully at peace. All that “good stuff” is still in your mind and body and shouldn’t be interfering with your dreams at this delicate of time.
With that said, may you start looking for the reasons for gratitude, even when you’re grateful for nothing. About this being the year of your gratitude; and, writing that gratitude down on your calendar; and, even when you’re grateful for all the gifts you got for the holidays, may you keep them proudly displayed: one, and, two, because this is the gift of life itself.
During this difficult time, I’ve been reminded a number of inspiring ways people have been going about their festive shopping.
I had a lorry booked up by Pickering who would deliver all the shopping to my doorstep in Westminster.
The musketeer with the red cape and the merry men were making their rounds around the corner at the same time. I looked in the direction of the camera and they were gone. I should have known better. What I found out was as important as the lorry itself.
I was around a stranger having a trypophobia about being walked on eggshells. I don’t like confrontation. But I’d love to know how somebody is coping during a very scary time.
The person who sells their time to someone else got a little experience of that in their time in the hope some of those encounters with other people might give them a small measure of the wool.
If you’re a visitor, make a note about this. This is a moment for you to reflect on your thoughts about the year that is approaching. To help with that, have a look at some of the comments on this article, or our Charlie Brown Report.
